Shopping For A Wedding Gift Is Easy

Standing in front of the displayed screen, they scanned the list of gifts wanted by the bride and groom. They looked over the dishes and the silverware settings. The cut crystal vase was lovely but out of their price range. There was a set of twelve fine linen napkins and a matching linen tablecloth. The bride had even specified what color she wanted them purchased in.

They looked at each other when they got to the kitchenware and cooking utensils. The bride-to-be was a great cook. There was a set of name brand cookware that was supposed to last a lifetime. Then one of the girls broke out laughing. She was looking at the grouping of knives. She mused that if the couple ever got close to divorce court, those sharp knives might be a dangerous thing to have sitting around the kitchen.

They agreed it was a good idea. After all a frying pan could be used as a weapon if they got into a fight. Yes, but so could the wusthof knife set be dangerous in a fight. The set was very attractive they decided. We should look at the whole list before ordering, they decided.

They reminisced about the last meal she had cooked for them. It was beef roast with fresh carrots and new potatoes. Of course they had helped chop them up for their friend. Let’s consider the knives they agreed.

Look at this set of knives one of the girls said. It was a henckels knife set with a special size and blade for all purposes. They looked it over and agreed about it being a difficult choice to make. Both sets looked nice they thought. They wandered off to shop before making a decision.

Off they walked to their favorite department, the shoe department. They tried on some of the wedge style sandals and a pair of black patent leather flats. They giggled as they tried on some sexy stilettos with ankle straps. Too sexy for church they laughed.

What will our bridesmaid dresses look like, they wondered. They already hated the color, pink. Both girls played soccer and tennis and were not girly-girls. Pink would have been their last choice. They agreed the bride knew them well enough to avoid dressing them in pink. Now they had to buy pink shoes too. Yikes!

They were determined not to wear gold or diamond earrings and that was a firm decision. After buying a new scarf and some nail polish, they returned to the listing of requested wedding gifts. After much discussion, they picked out a kitchen knife set that was absolutely perfect. They paid with a credit card and put their names next to the knife set on the list. They knew it would be a long-lasting gift and something that was very useful.
